Uptown Orthodontics utilizes cheek side braces (or often referred to as traditional braces) for the correction of a variety of bites. Both metal and clear braces are an option at our office.

Our cheek side braces are ‘self-ligating’ which refers to the clip/door that connects the active wire to the brace itself. The main advantage of this is to allow for quicker and easier wire adjustment appointments which means less time spent in the dental chair and more time living your life.

Gluing/bonding braces to the teeth is a very simple and easy procedure that is pain free and does not require dental freezing. Our office will provide thorough instructions and many helpful tools for properly cleaning your braces throughout treatment to help you maintain ideal oral health. It is very important to continue to see your dentist’s office at least every 6 months for regular professional teeth cleanings and exams during your orthodontic treatment.
